has issued a public statement on the same. Akshay took to social media to dismiss the "unwarranted interest and negativity" about his citizenship.

Reports had claimed that Akshay was missing from the polling booth on voting day in Mumbai because he is a Canadian citizen. In an earlier statement to TimesNow, Akshay had admitted that he is an honorary citizen of
